Product details & directions

Answer: The Texas Haynet Square Bale Hay Net is a slow-feed horse hay net for everyday hay management in stalls, trailers, pens, and small barn setups.

Use this net when you want to help reduce hay waste, stretch feeding time, and keep hay contained instead of scattered through the stall or pen. Choose the mesh opening based on how much you want to slow the feeding routine and how easily your horse should access hay.

Best for

Square bales in stalls, trailers, pens, and small groups
Horses that benefit from slower feeding routines
Barns trying to reduce wasted hay
Travel, shows, overnight stalls, and daily feeding

How to choose mesh size

Smaller mesh: slows access more and can extend feeding time.
Larger mesh: gives easier hay access for horses that need less restriction.
Heavy gauge: a stronger option for harder users when available.

Quick FAQ: What size should most horse owners start with? Start with the square bale net, then choose mesh size by your horse’s feeding speed and hay type.
